Neurobiology of idiopathic autism: Cellular and molecular phenotypes of common copy number (CNV), 16p11.2

Short Title

Rutgers University

Project Description

To identify neurobiological pathways that contribute to idiopathic autism, we will create and analyze neural stem cells and mature human neurons from individuals with the 16p11.2 copy number variant.

We plan to create human induced neuronal precursors from individuals with autism in NJ
in order characterize their cellular phenotypes and relate them to their metabolic
pathways.
